Untold (and The Lynburn Legacy series) is a character-driven novel, at least for me it is. I absolutely adore Kami and her mental fortitude and humor. Many of Kami's humorous moments had me laughing out loud. The other characters are also well-depicted and likable (some despite their flaws, such as Jared and Ash).

Overall Untold was well-written and I feel as though Brennan's writing eclipsed that in Unspoken, although this is in no way an insult to Unspoken. One of my only gripes regarding Untold is that while the lead-up to the book's main event took a significant amount of time, the actual main event was limited and rushed. The action led you to believe the height of the book would be a battle amongst sorcerers, but for me it ended up being the romantic element in the book between Kami and Jared. Perhaps Brennan intended the sorcerers to take a bit of a backseat, or perhaps the characters simply made me care more about the other story. But overall I definitely enjoyed Untold and look forward to the next in the series.
