I love Ellen, she readily promotes kindness and veganism (even though she eats eggs which makes her not truly vegan, but I digress). But I do not love her books. I have read all three of her books and I have given them all two stars. Her books are just one rambling, pointless chapter after another with random real tidbits of information or opinion thrown in now and again. I would say that her humor does not translate very well to paper, but some of it simply is not very funny or interesting. Ellen, her show and her stand-up are all great, Ellen's books are another story unfortunately.
