Mind Games has an interesting premise, although I could not help but bring to mind Mind Games by Carolyn Crane as there is even a bit of similarity in character abilities and killings. However, while I loved Crane's book I could not get into White's Mind Games. I could not come to care for any of the characters and I found the flashbacks quite distracting and not overly pertinent. The stream of consciousness style of writing was fine for about the first ten percent of the book but then I just got tired of the repetition and the narrator's voice. The ending is interesting, although it was not enough to make me curious to read book two. Overall the book fell flat for me and I would not recommend it.
