Eleanor & Park

Eleanor & Park - Rainbow Rowell I loved Eleanor & Park, both the book overall and the individual characters of Eleanor and Park. Both come across as genuine, real characters that I really could not help but care for and root for their relationship despite their age (and pessimism). Both characters are quirky and intelligent and came through as legitimately in the 1980s. I think part of the reason I enjoyed the book so much is due to it being set in the 1980s, who doesn't love 80s high school movies? I could definitely see this as a movie, it was at least in my mind. :) The ending is a bit open ended but I will just assume the best.
