I'm a fan of Bethenny Frankel. Unfortunately I think this mere fact caused me to dislike this book. Skinnydipping is essentially a fictionalized version of Bethenny's life, probably down to conversations she remembers having. There were slight changes and inclusions that, to my knowledge, were not autobiographical, but they were few and far between. I had difficulty trying to enjoy the book when I could predict large portions and also, young "Bethenny" is annoying. I would have much preferred to have read a memoir by Frankel rather than this poorly fictionalized account.
