A good short story, compelling and entertaining. I did not remember the premise of book one prior to reading the short so I kept imaging different scenarios. Unfortunately we are left not knowing what exactly is going on by the end of the story because, well, the premise of book one would rather be ruined then. I didn't particularly care for the character of Alex, but the intrigue surrounding what was going on kept me reading. I am interested in seeing where the author takes the series.
