Graffiti Moon

Graffiti Moon - Cath Crowley This was a really well written and charming tale set in Australia (also by an Australian author). Lucy is an artsy kind of girl and has a crush on someone she has never met, Shadow. Shadow is a graffiti artist around town and he paints beautiful scenes that evoke a lot of feeling in Lucy. However, what she doesn't realize is that Shadow is right in front of her during her quest to find him. And through Lucy finding Shadow, I think Shadow also manages to find himself too. I really loved the characters, they were well-drawn, intelligent and artsy- all things I enjoy. The story also contains depth beyond Lucy's quest to find Shadow, such as parental relations and death. I enjoyed the way the novel was written overall, the way in which Crowley chose to express sentiments of characters and how she brought scenes to life.
