An enjoyable UF with a strong female lead, humor and a dose of ass-kicking. But it certainly is not reinventing the UF vampire wheel by any means. I genuinely liked Sabina, although she was quite slow at times to catch on to things and a bit too trusting (even if it was out of brainwashing) with her "family". I loved the demon cat and enjoyed his lines, but again nothing unique. I did not care for the entire Lilith/God line Wells took for the creation of vampires, I prefer religion to be nixed from my reads. There were also a few issues with the book itself that an editor should have caught, such as extra words that were clearly mistakes. Overall enjoyable and I will continue with the series.
