Sex on Earth: A Celebration of Animal Reproduction
Jules Howard

Speciesism - Joan Dunayer This was a very good defense for the case of animal rights and nonhumans across the globe. Dunayer defends her stances well, although the book felt very much like a college textbook. I think this is a must read for anyone in order to open their eyes and truly see the beings they share the planet with. Vegans and animal advocates would also benefit from reading this book if for nothing less than to tweak their arguments that often entail following someone finding out you are such a person. Also, those who advocate for improved welfare for animals in the animal agriculture, vivisection etc. realms should read this as well and see why it is important for them to change their worldview as well. This book doesn't pull any punches so I'm certain it would piss off quite a number of people if more people read it--all the better I say. =)
