I found this book to be a welcome change in terms of vampire stories, as it is not like the Twilight madness that has unfortunately taken over the world. I suspect anyone who would like Twilight would not like this book.
This book is filled with a plethora of historical data centering around Vlad The Impaler, or Vlad Dracula. The amount of detail in this book is astounding. I found the first half of the book to be the best, but the last 150 pages or so became tiresome. Too much unnecessary detail was given during the final pages which then resulted in a less than spectacular ending.
Regardless of the ending, the book was a pleasure to read and I recommend it to history fans....not necessary vampire fans.
