Sex on Earth: A Celebration of Animal Reproduction
Jules Howard

Archetype - M.D. Waters Archetype should be a decent novel, the premise after all is quite interesting. However, Archetype turned out to be a tale crowded with too many aspects reminiscent of other books and movies, especially those relating to the treatment of women in the potential future, and quite frankly too many "flashbacks" and unclear scenes to be enjoyable. Are they dreams? Memories? Do I care? Unfortunately I just could not come to care for the main character, the only one you could even come close to getting a read on, as she, much like the plot, was unclear. Overall I felt like the author tried hard to write a sci-fi but ultimately failed to write anything really new. Archetype comes across more like a romantic drama with watered down sci-fi elements. I honestly could not be bothered to finish.
